LAST CLASS ‘ BEL260’

Last day class, we are doing the revision for preparation in final exam. The guideline from Miss Zu is very useful to me because it can help me to answer correctly in my exam. When Miss Zu say that it is our last class I’m feel so sad. This is because in her class I’m feeling so happy and enjoy with many activities that she provided. Although, I’m not long with Miss Zu but I feel really comfortable with her. This is because her characters are entertaining. I hope next semester I will have a class with her again.
Today I have learned about Future Tense. The group that present is Amirah's group.Below are some information about Future Tense.

SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE :~
The tense or time form of a verb used to refer to an event that has not yet happened or is expected to happen in the future
Simple Future Tense  has two different forms in English: "will" and "be going to”. Although the two forms can sometimes be used interchangeably, they often express two very different meanings. These different meanings might seem too abstract at first, but with time and practice, the differences will become clear. Both "will" and "be going to" refer to a specific time in the future.

After the presentation Miss Zu give back the test paper..My result is average but I'm still thankful to God. I hope in my final I can do better and get a good result.InsyaAllah...

PAST TENSE

Today I have learned about the Past Tense. The presenters for this topic are Hidayah, Hazirah,Idayu and Amirah. The explanation and notes they given are simple and easy to understanding.

Simple Past Tense is used for:

  •  Describe an action or an event which occured at a specific time in the past.
  • Refer to an action which took place irregularly in the past.
  • Report past events or situations in newspapers, reports and magazines.
Presentation of Extended Writing

Each group are required to present essay of extended writing by the topic in essay of introductory paragraph. Our group topic is about  "Social Problems". This is our essay of "Social Problems".

In 2007, the Star newspaper reported that an IPTS student in Segamat has dumped a baby in a plastic bag into a big drain. The baby which his umbilical cord is still intact was found by a good Samaritan. Two years later, Malaysia was shocked again by the same news: A fisherman had accidently fished a black plastic bag which he taught it was an ordinary plastic bag that had been littered by the irresponsible persons. He then opened the plastic bag out of curiosity and then was horrified for what he saw. A decayed baby!. This news proved that the statistics of social problems are increasing up until now. Thus, to ace these social problems, we should have strong moral values, parents should play their roles effectively and we should use media wisely.

One of the major ways to ace the social problems is we should posses strong moral values. Moral values taught us to respect everybody including ourselves. For instance, by respecting ourselves, we eventually able to protect our pride from sexual harassments. Thus, when everyone has strong moral values, the social problems will gradually decline and stop.

Besides that, in acing the social problems parents should play their roles effectively.  Parents should spend some quality time with their children. Through this way, the children will realize that they are loved, appreciated and tendered by the parents. Thus, whenever they are going to do something awful, they will think first about the parents and the impacts on themselves. Hence, the parents’ roles would help in minimizing the social woes.

Lastly, we should use media wisely to prevent social problems. As we know, media is the nearest medium and the best way to communicate and educate teenagers. However, our teenagers today misuse the media such as television, movies and magazine with inappropriate materials which not suit with their age as teenagers. For example, by watching porn movies. As a result, this can lead to irresponsible sexual behaviors and thus, can cause social problems such as baby dumping. Therefore, by using the media wisely, we could avoid ourselves from involving in the social problems.

As a conclusion, the social problems can be solved by implementing the above steps; we should have strong moral values, parents should play their roles effectively and we should use media wisely. All parties should cooperate with each other to provide quality generations that can lead the nation in the future.
